Delhi Capitals defeated Gujarat Giants by six wickets and topped the points table. In reply, the team led by Meg Lanning scored 131 runs for the loss of four wickets in 15.1 overs and won the match with 29 balls to spare. Interestingly, both the teams have faced each other five times in the Women’s Premier League, in which Delhi has won for the fourth time.

Delhi started chasing the target with a jolt. Kashvi Gautam bowled out captain Meg Lanning (3) on the score of 14. However, after this Shefali Verma got the support of Jess Jonason. There was a partnership of 74 runs in 37 balls for the second wicket between the two. Ashleigh Gardner got the Indian batsman out LBW. She returned to the pavilion after scoring 44 runs in 27 balls with the help of five fours and three sixes. At the same time, the Australian batsman scored 61 runs in 32 balls and remained unbeaten.
